He was celebrated as a sarasakavi or poet who wrote verse using humour. It is Muloor’s house in his hometown Elavumthitta that has been converted into a museum by the Department of Culture of the state. The museum preserves the belongings of the poet. It also has the belongings of Sree Narayana Guru, one of the prominent and most revered social reformers of Kerala.
